It starts at the Vancouver Waterfront! As Santa sails down the Columbia, a flotilla of The Christmas Ships joins the trip to Terminal 1 where Santa disembarks to the cheering crowd. Santa arrives by Tidewater Barge, reinforcing the historical and current importance of the mighty Columbia River and Vancouver.
A holiday parade of lighted vehicles transports Santa to Esther Short Park where crowds are waiting while they enjoy music, entertainment, and refreshments. Families and their holiday guests cheer as Santa helps to light the official Vancouver Community Tree and this year’s holiday season officially begins!
Carriage rides and family photos with Santa and Frozen characters will be available to allow for lasting family memories. Families can continue to enjoy music and festivities after the tree lighting.
ASL interpretation will be available on the main stage for the full duration of the program.
